screening

New to Class B. I'm thinking of getting some netting to hang down when the entry doors are open so they can be left open and mosquito's etc. can't get in, but we can get out. I'm sure we are not the first to do this so I'd love to get some input from those who have gone before....

I'm talking about a 2000 PleasureWay Excel. 1 door is entry to the house. The second door (beside it) opens but is the back of the sink cabinetry etc.

Thanks

  • If you got the bucks there is always skreenz A very good product that specializes in screens for van/B's. They have my vote, although i don't have any.
  • I recently used the "as seen on TV" screen door that closes with magnets in the middle on a recent 10-day trip. Attached it to the door frame with strong magnets that have ring style clasps. It took a few tries to figure out how to attach it from the inside so we didn't have to move it every time we closed the door. It's not wide enough to open the door behind the sink, so that one stays closed. It's too long too, so I just cut it shorter so we wouldn't trip on it. The trick seems to be to use several magnets in the center at the top so the closure magnets work. Not perfect, but VERY easy and folds up small for storage.
  • I use Magic Mesh and a handful of magnets. Unfortunately it takes a few minutes to set up and I've learned if I wait to late in the day for set up I get eaten alive. I'm contemplating a more permanent solution.
