Sleeping Bags, Sheets or ?

My wife and I just bought a class B Pleasure Way Lexor TS. We tried it out on Jekyll Island a couple of weeks ago and slept on the "queen" bed and used sleeping bags as our bedding. We had tried a sheet on the bed but it seemed too hard to make up. We want to try the single beds out by not putting in the center slats but don't know how best to do the bedding. My wife thinks that the sleeping bags will get too dirty on a trip and we will not be able to wash them. Any help from you with experience will help.

Since you are butting in, a couple of members were concerned about the quality from CW, so I was making them aware of the fact that if they weren't satisfied they could return them, and get their money back.
Why are you so concerned about what I'm posting, and why do you feel you need to make a personal attack.
Let's see, you have hundreds of deletes in the other forums, so you thought you might get away with your trolling in this forum?

Edited for spelling.

If you purchase a Travasak on line from CW, and are not satisfied it can be returned to any CW Super Center. Shipping should be free.

1. Catalog and internet purchases can be returned or exchanged at any nationwide Camping World SuperCenter.

2. Take the items to be returned to a Camping World retail location along with your original invoice.

3. The retail location will process your return and refund appropriate amounts.

4. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Why is this so important to you, Arizona Kid? You the inventor or something?

I hasten to add that like a previous poster that you presumed to be too poor to afford this Fine Item, I, too, am simply much too cheap to spend that much money on something I can easily put together myself- and have. I really only ask out of curiosity.

I bought an RV SuperBag. I've got a bum shoulder and need a bag that zips down on both sides. I also like the feel of sheets, rather than sleeping bag material. It is much easier to use than making up the bed each night as we travel.

My motto is that if it helps me get a good night sleep and is easy to use then it is worth the bucks.

I am not sure why people need to make comments about money, other than the basic "it costs such and such" or "this is a less expensive option"

No one knows the whole story. For some people $X is a major expense and for other people it is just noise. Or maybe it is a big expense, but worth it. Maybe they scrimp on other things, but splurge on a particular item because it solves problem and they finally decide to go with it.

But making people look like they are making bad decisions because they spend a little extra, or because they when with a less expensive option? Is there a point to this? I see it often on these boards, and I just do not get it.

Back to topic - I was the one who suggested the pricey RVSuperbag. We dont have a Class B (but maybe someday - talking about your pricey options ๐Ÿ™‚ ), we have a folding trailer. In our last folding trailer the bed could mostly be left made (we took off the comforter), when we folded. Our new one can only take 1 inch. We tried a few cheaper options, we need some sort of pad. So, now we have a thin pad, and the RV sack over it, always with the thicker side down. If we need more warmth we add our comforter.

We considered just 2 sleeping bags, but my husband really wanted sheets, and I would prefer them. So, we splurged. we do tend to keep them permanently zipped halfway down (and if I could make my own, I would have the zipper stop there) It is very comfortable.

Now, when we fold up, we just pull the sack down fold it over and leave it on the folded down dinette. Very easy. We just recently came back from a 3 week, multiple stop trip, and it saved us a lot of time and was very comfortable. Well worth the $$$ (BTW, we updated to the 100% cotton sheets - and very high quality, they will definitely last as long, or longer than this rig.)

Not sore, AZ Kid, just cheap! I recommend cheapness. Or frugality. Cheapality. Whatever.

Unfortunately, the neatest gear is very expensive. Just the way it is - low production items bought by "enthusiasts".

I just use sheets and blankets from the house which I find adequate and can change out with the seasons - a comforter in winter and just a light blanket in summer.

If my bed was like that is most b-vans, I'd seriously consider one of these, as I like convenience and compactness. Also, I would imagine the opportunities for spooning or other romantic endeavors is better than the two sleeping bag solution. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I don't understand why people want to make different contraptions, or use sleeping bags, when you can get the best sleeping solution for $159.

Travasak

Well, to help you understand, for two twin beds, that's currently a total of $320 ...IF ithey are on sale. Plus tax. Contraptions save our hard-won cash so we can take more trips!

We've always used the American Trails Ozzie & Harriet double sleeping bag. Plenty big for both and zip the sides down for complete freedom. Easy launder and can make into two separate bags if that's your bag. Got it at Walmart.

For those of you with Travasack experience: My wife steals all of our covers, so I am thinking about them.

Are they any "roomier" than a regular sleeping bag?

Can you stay warm without zipping it up?

I am afraid of being "constricted."

Thanks for your input.

Yup. My wife was stealing the covers too but now we each have our own sleeping bag but not zipped up. That way you dont feel trapped inside and your mate is close to you...
The fast rollup and put away in overhead storage makes it fast and simple.
