Slide issue

Hi, I am a Canadian and yesterday the passenger side slide would not open on my 2007 Fleetwood Providence 39V ,this in a parking lot in Covington,La on a Saturday afternoon... So I went on Rv.net and as I looked up for help I picked up a recommendation for a very good California tech. With is e-Mail address rmv96@sbcglobal.net I sent a desperate request. Within a couple of minute I hear that an e-mail was received....it was Ray the California tech. He gave me is number to call which I did and after he sent me pictures of the motor and gearing system for my slide and the location under the bed.I followed his direction and found a spare pin that was already wrapped around the motor.I sent him a picture of the motor taken with my I-Pod and he called me back and guided me to find out that the old pin was broken and that I could take it out, the part was still stuck in the gear and I replaced it with the spare pin witch was not easy to align back in the gear and pinion that turned afterward to close or open the slide ET VOILA. I was saved.....I would highly recommend Ray as muzman1942 recommended him to me this post was dated to 02-18-2010.
