100 miles from home and the front dinette slide moved out a few inches on the rear corner. tried cycling it in back and forth but it would not return to its position. Using my slide lock I secured it to get home safely, returning from a 1800 mile trip through Utah . At home i found a broken weld on the bracket that connects the slide mechanism to the slide itself, going to re weld it and the other bracket tomorrow. Having and using my slide lock saved the day. Better then than at the beginning of our trip. The bottom of the bracket should be flush with the slide rail, on the right side look at the weld they used, pathetic.

When I bought my RV, there was no slide lock included. Reading the Winnebago manuals, I read that one should have been. I went back to the dealer and asked for it, and they gave it to me. I have never needed it, but I have it.
