Slide Out Help

I purchased a 2005 Fleetwood Bounder 32w about 3 months ago. The large slide on the drivers side worked fine until about 2 weeks ago. The slide closes tight at the bottom but is out approx. 1 1/2 inches at the top. I have tried adjusting the stops but changed nothing. This past weekend I made sure the batteries were charged and tested, but no change. I hate to try adjusting the slide up or down because my decals all match up on the exterior. I got the service manual from Power Gear and spoke to service people at Power Gear but still can not get the slide out to close all the way at the top. When the top stays out, the floor inside the motorhome the sofa sets on will not go flat on the floor. It is a flat floor system. I have also tried resetting the brake. Everything I have tried has not work. Has anyone had this kind of problem with their slide out? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.
If you are talking about when the slide is in, then the floor WILL be raised above the rest of the floor. If is designed to be flat when the slide is fully out. As schled1967 has said, check the top of the slide for something keeping the top of the slide from coming in all the way. If you have the information from the slide frame manufacturer, check all the attaching bolts, screws and lag screws, for being tight. There are adjusting bolts for slide alignment, but unless something is loose, it should not have changed.

Good luck and let us know what you find. Last resort would be a dealer, or on site RV repair person.

I would suggest looking on top of the slide. Might be a limb or something laying up there stopping it from closing all the way.
