Slide Out Not Working...Motor Running

I am doing a Workamping position in the Glacier Park area and a new Workamper has just moved into the RV Park. During setup her bedroom slide would not move completely out. She started the motor, it moved several inches and stopped. She can push the on button and the motor will come on but the slide will not move. Any suggestions I can help he with? THANKS!!!

If it runs but doesn't move at all, it could be a broken/stripped drive gear, mine did, & not an easy fix, dealer had to completely remove the slide, luckily it was still under the extended warranty.
  • THANKS for the replies! Where would I help her find the shear pin? Does it look like a bolt? Or cotter pin?
  • I ran into a situation like that once. The slide was over a storage compartment. There was a loose sleeping bag in the compartment and it would wrap around the shaft until it couldn't move anymore. The first few inches in either direction were no problem.
  • More than likely they have a broken shear pin - if so it looks like a bolt but not threaded & located in the shaft coming out of the motor. Not a major job & the motor is probably located under the bed.
