Looks like you responded to this one. By the way, who decided it was "inconsiderate"? As long as it's in English what difference does it make?
My response was not to the OPs question. I and many others find all caps posts difficult to read quickly, and it has been considered poor internet form for a long time. Sorry if that bothers you, but it's the truth.

As in any etiquette related issue, it's a "majority rules" kind of thing.
For a quick one-liner, I don't normally have a problem with caps, but if I see an entire paragraph in caps I probably won't read it, as it is tough to follow. (Plus, people who type in all caps tend to also not use good punctuation and white space practices, further compounding the issue).
Go to just about any forum out there and post a paragraph in all caps - you'll see the same reaction you see here.

No you shouldn't use them for the reasons already mentioned.
Also, please turn off your caps-lock as it makes your post difficult to read and is considered yelling.

How can caps be compared to yelling? Did anyone hear it, I didn't?
His post was not hard to read either. Just ask him to not use caps and leave at that.

Well said !! I agree
Actually, the larger print is easier for us old codgers to read.

I doubt if you'll even FEEL you need slide room support if the rest of the RV is stabilized correctly. I join the majority in saying it's better NOT to use them.

The answer to the question is `Yes'. Someone uses them. The better question would be `Should I use jacks on the slide?' This has been discussed previously and the consensus is NO.
The latest issue of Trailer Life (August 2013) discusses this topic in the RV clinic section and one part states `Although is should not be necessary, if you choose to put stabilizer jacks under a slideout, just support the weight to prevent sagging, don't push up...'

Our slideout is 14ft long and 4ft deep. We have had as many as 8 people sitting in it (dining table and couch) during family events.

Never used stabilizers and after 19 years still works great.
