We are looking for a Mercedes Sprinter Class B on a 2006 Mercedes short wheel base 2500. I know that Roadtrek made one, the SS Agile. Any one know if other builders made a Class B on the Sprinter 2500 chassis?

Indeed it is. The one that perturbs me is the extra charge for height when you're on a boat sharing the same single plane interior space as the cars. It's not like you're taking up vertical space that otherwise they could fit two cars in to.

Yes. I agree as that isn't fair. When I take the ferry from Vancouver island to Vancouver I pay for standard 20 vehicle like car owners and 1 foot mostly extra charge over 20ft. I am sent to the high ceiling truck floor of the ferry--little us parked in between 18 wheelers and other SVs too. Cars take the entrance which has a high limited overhead barrier.

Fastpaddler and Escargot, our 06/07 TS was listed at 21'll" on the Dealer tags but measured out, per an official with the Washington State Ferry System who used one of those rolling tape things, at 21'4". Being under 22'0' was an important fact that secured us a refund of the 'extra length' upcharge for vehicles over 22' that had doubled our fare.

But when we were buying we saw many of them listed at the length Escargot quotes. We were wondering if some had different bumpers as the different lengths--and we saw numbers up to 24'--made no sense.

Like Davydd states below, my 2500 PW Plateau TS is 21ft11ins. However, in BC we pay extra for every foot OVER 20 FT so I usually pay for 21 ft unless Ferry agent is a sticker for the extra less-than-a-foot. In the US seems to be different charges for over-size.

The regular body T1N Sprinters were 21'-11". The regular body NCV3 Sprinters were/are 22'-9". some added an optional step bumper that made them a little longer. Pleasureway Plateau added a full width step bumper on the T1N. Also any wheel on the back would have increased the length. As I remember at the time most of the converters had misinformation in their brochures so you can't go by them as gospel. The dealers were worse in their listings.

Your rig is a good one. I share your interest in trading up a bit. My wife is not happy with wet baths. I find ours just fine but then, when I was a boy in just-post war England, we all bathed in the same tub (individually of course) but the youngest got the murkier water. Oh well, I survived.
Good hunting....

I recall seeing a Roadtrek T1N in the short wheelbase. Has anyone else seen one?

I have a 2006(2007 build) Pleasure-way Plateau TS on the 2500 chassis that is, without dualies at the rear and around 21ft in length. Later models were built on 3500 chassis with dualies at around 22ft9ins.
I have seen a few 2006/2007 PWs on the web.

Hmmm.
My 2006 PW Plateau TS on the 2500 chassis without dualies is 22' 9".

I doubt that your measurement is correct unless my 2006(2007 build) PW Plateau TS has SHRUNK. It is listed at 21ft 11 ins!!!

Good to know. I took the previous owners word for it. Thanks.
