We really noticed that when we went from a B to a B+ to a full C. We started having a lot of meals inside and missed the "camping" aspect and we were slow to get going.
You might consider a rear window air conditioner if your portable doesn't work out. With the window type A/C the unit heat is outside. I've done some testing running one on an inverter with encouraging results:
