Temporary exhaust patch

The easiest fix is to wrap the pipe with high temp prepreg FG and resin. The prepreg will cure with the heat from your exhaust. i have used it many times on car exhaust systems. I am not sure if DP exhaust systems run much hotter than gas MH's.

if it is to far gone you can purchase 4" flex pipe to get by

Go to a truck supply house and purchase a band clamp for your size exhaust system. Simply wrap it around and tighten the clamp. This would give you a possible semi permanent repair or at least until a permanent repair can be made.

You can get patches at Auto Parts stores and they are great. Put one on a pickup and it welded itself on from the heat.

use a tin can take off both ends with a can opener then cut with a tin snips from top to bottom wrap it around the pipe and use hose clamps on both ends to clamp it on tight. works good its already round and stays on the pipe easily wile you tighten the hose clamps tighten both clamps a little at a time to clamp it evenly.

Stainless steel tape. I still have some from Military surplus. Of course i the heat is high enough the glue will not last long. It is tough stuff and suitable for where you describe. A couple of clamps, one on each end, and it will stay in place. Just clean the rest of the pipe around the area good. I believe the stuff I have is about four inches wide.

Ihad a small crack on mine near the exhaust end and used high temp JB weld after I sanded it some and drilled a stop hole on each side of the crack.
. Held up well. Not sure about a hole though.

I’m facing the same problem. It’s right where the tail pipe passes by the Fiberglas cape.

Auto part stores and Amazon have various kits; some with tapes etc.

Yup, a good short-term fix. Were it further "up-stream" the answer could have been different.
