Tiffin service - WOW!

We bought a new 2017 Tiffin last fall. There were many little (and medium sized) problems that we identified during the first 2 months and we booked it into the dealer's repair shop to (hopefully) get EVERYTHING fixed.

It didn't happen. The dealer had it for months and made very little progress and didn't do a good job on the things they "fixed".

I called Tiffin to inquire about how to resolve it. They immediately transferred me to Bob Tiffin (yes, the founder / CEO). He personally arranged for a different (non-dealer) repair shop to finish up the repairs.

This is our 4th RV, we always buy new and there are always things to fix on a new RV. And, (in our experience) it has always been a huge challenge trying to get dealers to fix things. But, I never had "Mr. Winnebago" or "Ms. Thor" help me out.

We heard tales like this before we bought a Tiffin. We never completely believed that an RV manufacturer would be so helpful. The stories are true!

But had to get the big guy involved ?

That BIG GUY MAKES THE DECISION"S. The OP had a problem and Bob Tiffin arranged for a non Tiffin shop to get the items fixed and then Tiffin pays that shop. Bob Tiffin is easily accessable to anybody. But, on certain high dollar repairs the Service Reps don't have the authority, they just send it to Bob and he takes care of it. Doug

Yes!
A while back one of our members was having a hard time with something to do with his headlights.
Mr. Tiffen offered to re-shape the headlight opening, paint and install more modern fixtures at no charge.
Talk about above and beyond!

Our 2017 Tilffin had issues with the 65 ceiling lights (lights would suddenly act like a 70’s strobe light show). Called Customer Service at Red Bay. Only question asked was how many we needed and conformation of our address. Had an issue with the DEF system on a trip. Called CS, on Friday, gave them the codes that the computer displayed. We were in St. George at Rush Cummings shop. The part to fix the problem arrived at the Rush shop at 10:00am Monday. We were back on the road by noon.

We also had an issue with a new Tiffin - failure of the material used for all furniture at 6 months. Dealer - ZERO assistance and had a so
sad, too bad attitude. Called Tiffin directly to find out how to proceed and Bob Tiffin returned my call. The issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. Now, were we inconvenienced?, yes but a bad batch of material was not something that could have been foreseen. I give kudos to Bob Tiffin for standing behind their product and getting personally involved to get it moving to resolution.

I had also always heard Bob Tiffin/Tiffin customer service stories and was skeptical. No more. Thanks Mr Tiffin for treating your customers right!

I don't mean this as a shot but it does sort of make you wonder why these items weren't taken care of at the factory, where the bosses office is, before it was shipped to the customer.
How many weeks were they without the coach.
I'm glad the problems were taken care of and that the customer is now happy.
