finally changed my michlin 235 80 22.5 tires to toyo 245 75 22.5 did it all my self a little heavy but doable tires were 8 years old showed a little signs of cracking but when I stretched the bead of the tires over the rim you could see how bad the cracks were change your tires before its to late

Good for you! It's great when you can do things for yourself. As I sit here reading your post wishing for my younger years and not even giving a second thought to doing things like that ( not that I'm that old). But those things caught up to me. Couple ruptured disks doctor says needs surgery ( not happening).Screwed them up lifting a case of water at Costcos yesterday. My wife says I should have let her do it :oBut I get it - ours will be replaced after 6 no matter what.

Goods tires. I just put over 3k miles on my Toyos that I bought last month.

Ive had 19.5in Toyos on my coach for a year. Check them every month and have never had to add air. Great driving tires also, very positive road feel.

Did you balance them? Balancing beads? Weights?

Weights. I'm kinda old fashion.

Everywhere I looked into buying tires and mentioned sidewall checking, they said: "Oh, I bet that the're MIchelins." I liked them, somewhat disappointed with the checking, but, it is time to change them anyway,

I liked them my michilens had date code of 4905 I was shocked when I changed the tire and pulled the bead of the tire over the rim how bad the cracks were something about michilen tires and sidewall cracks I am a Maryland start car inspector and every time I have to fail a tire for side wall cracking its a michilen tire

I can get (6) Toyo 245/75R 22.5/14 M-154 tires installed by Les Schwab with tax, disposal, balancing, etc. for $2,360.99, which seeks OK to me.

FMCA has a fleet price arrangement for Michelin tires. You might want to compare prices that way. Cost to join FMCA is about the cost to mount one tire! and you get a magazine too!

I'm also getting ready to change my Michelin XRV 22.5 80R 235 tires that are beginning to show a bit of sidewall checking. Dates on the visible tires are 3406, 3406 and 4006 with one tire without a date? They are on a 2008 MH. . . they certainly bought those tires early?

How to do like the Toyos?

That was the smartest thing a person could do, is changing to Toyo tires. After the original Michelins xrv tires, I am on my second set of Toyo tires balanced with Equal, and they are simply great.
