I agree with Darryl! Very good program you have to register your CC with Michelin before you purchase the tires.

Went back to Hankook tires on our Southwind last summer - quite pleased with them.

Well, it makes sense. Michelin is a headquartered in France. And they have plants all over the world.

Last Michelin truck tires I saw (295/75R22.5) were from Thailand.

I don't have to...OTR trucks come to the plant where I work out of every day. I saw one Friday, in fact...drive tires were Bandag caps on various casings. Steer tires were Wanli. I see Hankooks regularly, ditto for Doublecoin.

Saw a highway coach running Dynatrac steer tires recently.

We just bought new Michelins back in March - the date code on the tires is 3212 and they definitely have "Made in USA" molded into the sidewalls...

Michelin is a huge company. They do make lots of tires in the USA. I have owned some for our current RV. They also make tires in France, Spain, and lots of other places.

With regard to Chinese tires. The biggest seller of truck, bus, and big tires in our area who I have bought tires from sells China tires. He said the biggest issue he knew of was the rubber was too hard and when the roads were wet or snowy they had traction issues.

They make them secretly, ship them home, paint a pinstripe on them, send them back and call them Made in France. :C
