Now I just wait for the Exhaust manifold to get here, And then I can just put the one on, I will need to order the driver side now, But the motor is ready to go back together, Only need to paint the valve covers and clean the carburetor, Then put everything back in place.
Do you see that sludge that's NOT caked and built up on the inside of the heads?
If I saw that, I'd say that motor has low miles and/or has been taken care of over the years (good oil changes and so on).
I'm hoping I see the same sort of thing when I pull my valve covers off.
Does your transmission have a hole, about an inch or so diameter, in the top of the "bellhousing"/case?
