Tow vehicle

I have an found a 2008 Saturn Vue for sale. It is in excellent condition. Does anyone know if it is an acceptable vehicle to flat tow behind my 1989 31ft. Bounder motorhome? I will check to see if the GVW is within the acceptable limits as well as the hitch. This is hoping that can be flat towed. Ken

    Per the 2008 Vue owner's manual page 4-42 you should be good to go as long as the coach has the capability of pulling a 3800 pound vehicle. Many from the time period of your coach were only rated for 3500 pounds. Best not to push the envelope too much.

    I don't know for sure, but I don't think I've ever seen a Saturn that could "not" be used as a towed vehicle. Do you have the owner's manual that goes with the car? However, as you mentioned, check the towing limit for your mh....many gassers can only pull 3500 lbs.

    ps... tow vehicle = one that "does" the towing. Towed vehicle = one that is being towed.
