I believe your tow rating is 5,000 lbs max, and you would want to be under that by at least 500 lbs, 1,000 lbs would be better.

It's impossible to answer your question with the limited info you are providing.
4,000 lbs, is that dry, or wet weight?
The tow rating of the Adventurous, I think is 5,000 lbs, and tongue weight is 500 lbs. You can't exceed either, and recommendations from most members is to be a 1,000 lbs under the tow rating.
You will have to also add to the dry weight of the Rt all the optional equipment, like generator, awning, TV, propane, water, etc, etc. You will be adding way over 1,500 lbs.
If the GVWR of the trailer is truly 4,000 lbs you will probably be OK.
Something like a Lance TT 1575 would be a good fit. GVWR of 3,500 lbs.

When I was looking into a custom SMB, I found that the GVWR of the dual-wheel 3500 was pretty stout. After the upfit, I would have had at least 3000 pounds CCC left over, while a 2500 model Sprinter, I'd be looking at 500 pounds or less.

I can't find the dry weight of Pleasure-way or Roadtrek Class B on their websites. Any suggestions? I don't have any dealers close to me.

Agreed, go to the scale and know your weight. Best $10 one can spend.
