That is one of the reasons I like a test light over a volt meter.
Often with a poor connnection the VM will show good voltage.
But the Light, which places a small load.. will be very very dim if it even lights.
Had a wire fail... NOT a connection but a wire 10ga Stranded a good foot or two from the nearest connection..> Dang thing had a big bump when I investigated.. one end of the wire BRIGHT LIGHT.. other end 11.5 volts no load and no light.. Excised the bad spot and soldered and heat shrank over the joint and BRIGHT LIGHT and the radio worked again (50 watt Ham VHF/UHF D-Star radio.. Kind of a power sucker)
I can test a dozen fuses in the time it takes a volt meter to test 2.
