Transit Bars

I just purchased a 1999 Damon Challenger 330 with a slide.
I was going to try the slide out now that it is not covered in ice but came across a warning sticker about releasing transit bars.
What are they and how would I release them ?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.The slide out contains a couch,sink and stove if it helps

Note that there are several different designs of the transit bars.

But that said, it is a bar that goes between the wall of the motor home (inside) and the outside side of the inside "Edge" of the motor home (About the best I can describe it)

Mine is a long metal tube, with the common push button and move it to a different hole type of length adjustment. It has threaded bolts in each end, one ends in a "T" handle the other is slotted, the slotted end fits a socket on teh wall and the "T" presses against the back side of the inside trip (Frame) to force the thing to remain IN all the way even if the brakes fail or the pins shear.. Which they used to do.. Often.

RetiredHoser......Many people didn't use them and either lost or stored them. Look in the photo provided in the link and you will see a small round plate in the wall where the bar is inserted. Check your walls when the slides are in to see if you have any of these plates.

Not sure if this is the same thing or not, but I have bars on my slides, that look like flat iron pieces with a hinge in the middle, that must be released before deploying the slides. If not, bad things happen.

Transit bars are bars that go between the inside front edge of the slide and the outside wall on each end of the slide if you have them. They look like a black screw bar with a small hole on the inside wall and a pad they pushes the slide helping to keep it in place. Hope this helps
