Travasaks on sale at CW.

I was just about ready to buy a SuperBag when I saw the CW listing for the Travasak. I was surprised and tried to find out more info. So far I haven't found anyone who bought the "new Travasak" and can't see one unless I buy it first. I guess I'll buy the SuperBag.

My husband bought a queen Travasak back in 89 or 90 when he had a MH with a corner bed. We have used it several months a year since. We just sold the MH but am keeping all our "stuff" as we are looking for a B or C. Was good quality to last ALL these years. Wonder how the new ones will hols up.

In 2005 we purchased a queen Travasak with an extra set of sheets and pillowcases. It was made in the USA. They have been slept on over 500 nights and still look new. Both the sheets and comforter part launder beautifully. Neither the zippers or Velcro have been a problem. I have not seen the "new" Travasak that CW is now selling.

I think price had a lot to do with Travasak's edge over SuperBag. I'm quite happy with the SuperBag but wish it had been cheaper. If Travasak had still been in business, I'd probably have gone that way. However, I think current buyers need to find out whether the new company just bought the name, or is actually producing a product of comparable quality.

One could ask where was the old Travasak made and what isn't made in China nowadays? iPhones are made in China and they are a pretty good quality product. I'm not sure you could just assume poor quality because of China but definitely could assume the cost would or should be less on account of it.

One could also assume someone was astute to pick up the Travasak name as well. It seems to resonate as a brand and SuperBag didn't quite equal that branding cache at least in opinion and enthusiasm. I don't have either to judge or have any idea of sales--just what I read.

It's hard to get a straight answer from CW as to who makes the "new" Travasaks.

Have a travak for the funmover, which is nice. Went to the local electronics place a couple summers ago, they had on sale Coleman sleeping bags with polypropylene liners. Bought a summer bag and a sub 30, they zip together. MO bettah. Close outs, they were cheap. $25 each and loners zipped out for cleaning.

We have Travasaks and love them. The reason we have them is because it is pretty difficult to make our twin beds with regular bedding. I had sewed up some sheets, blankets, and comforters which looked nice, but it was all too difficult to tuck in with our tight spaces.

The Travasaks just shake out and lay on top of the beds. As far as getting balled up with a sleeper who does lots of tossing and turning - get some silky pajamas - then you can roll around all you want and the Travasak stays in place.

We do have extra blankets for on top of the Travasaks when it is especially cold. I think we've used them once.

They are better than sleeping bags because they are wider - more room to move around and they have sheets which come out and are washable.

Well, how interesting - to me at least.

I went to a CW today to take a look at a Travasak - any size, any color - then I could easily order just the right size and color if I wanted.

Well, not only did they not have one in stock, they'd never heard of any such thing. Then the sales person decided to "check stock" system wide (i.e., check all CW stores at one time - they have that ability in their store inventory system).

Well, whaddayaknow, not a single Travasak in any store in any color.

Maybe available "online", but ya' can't see one yet in their stores - at least not yet.

Or, maybe, just maybe, they are sooooooo popular, that they've sold out already.
