I don't bring a toad with my 32' class C. Thus far, I've felt no great need to do so—though I also don't tend to stay set up at a single campground for more than a couple or a few nights, so there's plenty of opportunity to travel without needing to make special trips.
One might have been kind of handy visiting Letchworth State Park. Touring around it in the motorhome was not a big difficulty, though; just slightly cumbersome.
I'm also not inclined to do more than the essentials to set up camp. It's a lot easier to go toadless if you don't have to spend an hour dismantling the campsite (moving chairs, packing or relocating the pink flamingos, stowing the awning, etc.) to be able to move out when needed or wanted.
