tv stereo upgrade

I have a sony kdl 26m400, TV, wondering if anyone else has abandoned their 12vlt stereo and got soundbars or surround sound systems? I would like to hook my tv to blue ray and connect it to a Bose wave III with blue tooth and possibly link a wireless speaker to drag outside any ideas or suggestions would like to keep under 500.00 any thoughts?

    I have the ability to run the TV sound through the HOME THEATER system if I wish

    I do it for PBS Pledge Drive Music Specials.

    I bought a used bose 321 on craigs list for 200 bucks easy install wonderfull sound
