The article said: "The group called authorities, who confiscated their luggage and the RV after interviewing the men".
No good deed goes unpunished. Why was all their belongings and their shelter taken? Now they have no clothes, no transportation and no place to sleep. Think of the message that this sends to those that try to do the right thing. I'll remember this if confronted with the same decision. It is a shame.
I'm sure there's more to this story than what's been presented. Funny how some jump to conclusions that the LEOs were somehow overhanded and the 'men' were so innocent. Maybe there were inconsistencies in their stories sufficient to warrant further investigation, which would indicate why their belongings were seized. The coroner would have been called and any evidence of foul play would begin a homicide investigation resulting in complete lockdown of any possible evidence and/or crime scene.....Dennis
There is the possibility it is a crime scene. I am sure we all would want a thorough investigation if one of our loved ones were the victim.
