up date on LPG leak with Kudos to winnebago

I had posted a couple of weeks ago about a LP leak in a black pipe and fitting in a really tough place to access. Well at noon today I pulled in to the Winnebago factory which was just finishing their Grand National RAlly ie tons of people and units wanting service. I had called and was told October was earliest appointment but drop it off today. Once they found that the problem was a LP leak they immediately took it in and 2 hours later it was fixed. I was a little embarrassed to get it done ahead of others waiting for work but was told that Winnebago takes a serious problem very seriously. I guess a LP leak is one of the issues they take seriously. Anyway after 4 Winnebago motor homes , I have been very pleased with the units but have never been to the factory for service but am even more impressed now. Thanks for listening tom
  • So did they replace cracked fitting OR did they 'repipe' from manifold out???
  • replaced cracked elbow and re-threaded the pipe into it since it had broken off in the elbow in the process of removal--or was the culprit all along??
