Upsize tires - '97 Winni Adventurer

On a '97 Winni Adventurer (34ft RQ, P-30 Chassis), we have upsized the FRONT tires from stock 225 70R 19.5 to 245 70R 19.5. They work fine.

Can we use the 245 size on the REAR duals?
Is there enough space between the duals to avoid rubbing between the siewalls?
Is there any chance they would rub against the coach body?
Is a spacer between the duals advisable?

If 245s do not work without rubbing, would 235s work without rubbing?
THANKS for any adivce you have to give.
  • I up-sized our 87 Southwind from 225s to 245s, the POs downsized from 8r19.5 to 225/70r19.5. There was a need to put a spacer in between the dual rims to keep the necessary distance between the tires. Sorry, but I do not remember what thickness the tire place put in for a spacer. There was no problem with clearance for the bigger tires in the wheel wells. If you were to have clearance problems it would have been with the front tires but you already have them there so you should be in business.
  • 245 indicate they need wider rims. They may bump each other and cause issues. I do not believe there is a wheel well clearance problem on wheel spacing.
I use 245s on the front and stayed with 8R19.5s on the drivers.
