- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIThe coach is worth EXACTLY what someone is willing to pay for it or a dealer is will to sell it. Offer $1000 and work your way up from there. OK, look at PPL and see what similar coaches have sold for, do some on line research, and then make a reasonable low-ball offer and go from there.
- mtofell1ExplorerThere's no standard. It's just an open negotiation. Look for similarly priced units, evaluate for condition and decide how much you want it.
- Branson_N_TucsoExplorer IIA little more information on unit. I know when I bought my last one, I made them put all new tires on it. Things like that may bring the price down.
- jplante4Explorer IIAs a general rule, the prices on RVT and RVTrader are 20% high. Of course, condition is everything and a thorough look over is required before you make an offer. If you don't know what to look for, get an inspector or mobile RV tech in the are.
- trashguyExplorer IIThis goes contrary to what I've read here but we looked for almost a year and ended up going new. Every dealer we looked at were selling new units for at least 20% below list price. Every used unit we looked at were basing their asking price off of the MSRP. I couldn't find anything cheaper used unless I started going 8 to 9 years old. We were looking at gas rigs so maybe the pushers were different Winnebago Vista 32YE $92K.

Wanting to buy a tiffin, used.
If a dealer lists for 100k, what should a typical offer be? 80-90% of asking price?
I believe that going with a consignment dealer, is the way to go.
We ignored the asking price when we bought and offered around 23% under low NADA, then settled at 19% under. Doing it over, I would have stuck with the original offer and letting it stew for a bit.
Still not sure what you have in mind exactly, but here are some recent.... PPL DP SALE PRICES
and am seeing some real deals here, that easily matched ours, so not like we stole it.
Thing is, there are so many people paying Dealer retail by trading in their old one, along with having to get a loan and then in no time, they're under water. So, when it comes time to sale, reality sets in and they may need another loan to pay off the difference. - Mountain_MamaExplorerIf you’re on Facebook and haven’t already, check out the FB page "RV Pricing and Values" before deciding and buying. Be sure and read the Pinned Post before asking questions! David may be able to save you some $$$.

What is PPL?
PPL is a consignment dealer with three locations in Texas. They provide a list of all coaches they've sold in the last two years, with the actual selling price: PPL Selling Prices
