We tow a 2014 Silverado. We use an aux. 12 volt outlet that clamps on to the battery. We ran a line from that down under the truck and came up under the passenger floor mat, if you lift the carpet there is a rubber plug that can be removed to run the wire up through. Only problem we have is we always forget to adjust the driver seat position to fit the brake buddy before we unhook the 12v terminal..
