Valid Air Leveling Leak FYI
Our Valid/Power Gear electric air pump used for leveling and tag lift runs a few seconds every 45 seconds. Valid confirmed my suspicion that Monaco installed the check valve in the wrong place at the air tank inlet rather than the pump outlet. With very little air capacity to the check valve even a very small leak will trigger the pressure switch to start the pump and quickly shut it off.
They are sending me a new check valve to be installed at the pump outlet and a fitting to replace the old check valve at the tank inlet. The pressure switch will then be between the two and now sense the tank pressure and only trigger the pump when the tank pressure drops.
Several months ago I replace the pump fuse with a switch and fuse so that I could turn off the pump when parked while I sorted out the problem.
