Look at Johnny "T"s" thread at the top of the page -- this is the most complete and correct bit of advice you will ever get.
BOL, - bobkatmsuExplorerIs any part of the motor home being "recalled". Sad to say I did this. Luckily it worked out and they took care of it, but I had paid for it before I knew. Dealer said he did not know anything about a recall. To this day, I find that hard to believe.
- Two_JayhawksExplorerIf I walk on to a RV sales floor or visit with a rep at a RV show I always know more about the product than they do. This used to amaze me but really it's pretty logical. Since RVing has been my passion for many years I ought to be more informed/educated. That being said you would be in the best position knowing more than the sales rep. If gaining all that knowledge in a short time isn't possible maybe you should share the model/mfg of what you are looking at before you get in front of the sales rep.
- hitchupExplorerNot sure about MH's, but you can get 5th wheels for 30+% off the MSRP. The trick is knowing the MSRP is actual cost, not something the dealer pulled out of a hat.
If you have cash, that's a good bargaining tool. - wnytaxmanExplorerMost have more than 25%. Many dealers will post prices with 25% off of MSRP which means they have even more room to wiggle.
- mrkojeExplorerOff the MSRP? Yes most likely. I got just a tad more than that off my current trailer about 26%.

Do you think they have that much room? 25% - weathershakExplorerAsk for the sales persons home phone number and home adress. When they ask why, you can tell them you need a 24 hr contact to scream at someone if they lied or took a short cut on the PDI :)

Buy gently used. You can get a LOT more for your money, and a lot of the bugs will be already cured.
Downside to this is that you get no warranty. - rdcsjcExplorerThis entire process is new to me. Most of my questions may sound simple, but I'm a simple kind of guy. For example, what do you do with your batteries while your RV is sitting, and how long can you keep your batteries before they die.
