Been trying to figure out if my starting battery is dead or very sick or is there is another problem. I drove it about 25 miles last week and when I turned the MH off to disconnect everything, battery was dead I guess. For some reasons, I turned on the generator and then the MH started. I should have tried to start it off the house batteries, but thought I needed to turn on the generator. Yesterday, it would not start in the drive way but today's seems to start fine. Also, when I drove home from my short trip, same thing, did not start without the generator running. I have a cheap battery cell tester and most of the cells show three quarters good. I think it is the battery but just not sure.

Topped off the fuel tank, added stabil and ran the genny yesterday for an hour. Today, I am doing a Lube, oil and filter change and am installing fog lamps. Tomorrow, the continuing dilema of wax on...wax off.
Full timing it since July 2012

Washed it today and will wax it tomarrow. Still working on those blankety blank curtains. Did wash all the walls and ceiling so when done with them I will only have to put them up. Will shampoo the carpets when hubby gets done working on things.

I just did my fiberglass roof also but used Mop n Glo. Heard from some Prevost and Newell owners thats the latest and greatest stuff to use on the roofs. Made sense to me and easy to apply. Suppose to last a very long time. Some have said a year but I will wait and see how mine works.

Washed and waxed the white fiberglass roof, replaced the refrigerator vent shroud and glued back together the XM antenna that broke off when a tree limb was too low.

All new tires and a full service soon and I must install my new motorized power cord reel next week. More fun!

Nice flip down plate holder. Wish I would have done that on mine! Where did you pick that up? Funny thing when I installed mine I didn't have to remove anything from my truck, guess I got lucky you took the whole front of your car off! Nice job

I had no choice on removing the front to reach the frame stubs. It's mostly plastic though, so it's really not that hard to take apart.

The flip down is just two 'T' hinges from the local hardware store, plus a little "custom" bending. The plate is held closed by wing nuts threaded on to bolts run through from behind the grill where the original screws were located. A couple of hex nuts lock the bolts in place and act as spacers. With our sometimes harsh northeastern winters, I wanted a way to protect the fittings when not towing. All the hardware is stainless steel, except for the galvanized hinges.

Installed a Blue Ox base plate, ReadyBrake aux. brake system, and Remco transmission pump on my RAV4. The pump includes the wiring and diodes for the tail lights.

Base plate in place

Well, today I replaced most of the bright brass cabinet pulls with brushed nickel...all the bright brass hardware inside is going to be replaced with brushed nickel. I bought the coach a couple of weeks ago on Ebay...I was a little nervous not really knowing what I was getting myself into. Turns out the previous owner let the coach freeze without winterizing it, and yes the CPVC plumbing did suffer! I finished replacing all the damaged plumbing last weekend, fished the bird's nest out of the space heater, reassembled and reattached the mirrors (falling apart and falling off), and will be spending our first weekend in it by the ocean next weekend.

I can't imagine what the plumbing would have cost if I took it to a shop...I'm pretty handy and the parts were less than $100.00. Took two days and four rounds of fix the leaks, test, and identify more leaks (and mop up the ensuing interior flooding!), fix them, ect, ect...

The good news is the MH runs great, and drives sooooo much better that my last one, an '88 Winnebago Superchief / P32. So far I'm pretty happy with my purchase.

In Liberal KS, windy is a understatement. Opened front of bus to adjust fan belts, added some PS fluid, noted a couple small leaks on radiator tank.

Well, today I'll start with washing the roof due to the fact that Thursday I'm taking it to CW for a new Trv'ler satellite unit installation. Of course, since I'm washing the top, I'll need to wash the gunk off the sides so I'll wind up doing the whole rig. Then I have to put the TMPS sensors on the toad. Once back, I need to un-winterize as we are heading to Bryce next Wed.

Restorodder. I love your rod. I am in the process of restorodding my 64 Fairlane and will eventually want to take it to shows. Do you not cover your car while towing? How do you keep from chipping the paint?

Drove the coach to Grand Rapids Mich(2hr drive)and dropped it off at Midway RV,for service and warranty repair. The Newmar coach warranty has expired, but some of the items were repaired last year and failed again. We will find out how good our extended warranty is,because the rear view cammera is not working, and the water system won't allow water into the coach,(replaced the inlet check valve myself).

Got two new dinnet chairs at a surplus store after we removed the booth and couch, dropped it off at a shop(Elkhart Service and Collison) to get the carpent removed and tile put down and then(in a couple weeks) over to Bradd and Hall to get our new couch.. Then to the Maintenance Session at Goshen In. and who knows where after that.. Maybe a True Center from Blue Ox, at least that's what we're thinking about..
