This is not a "Today" project Just a recently completed one. There was too much bother accessing the space under the couch so I added drawers.

The drawers

Today was spent cleaning the leaves off the roof and scrubbing the stains away. Not fun.

Well, as planned... I got the new high curved kitchen faucet installed. Now we can wash a fairly good size pot without the faucet spout being in the way. The factory one was almost horizontal and probably not more than about 4 inches higher than the top of the sink. Really got tired last summer of banging that darn thing everytime we did dishes.

Now this new one goes vertical for about 12 - 14 inches before it curves back over the sink. Plenty of room now. Bring on those dirty crock pots.

Installation went easier than I thought. Removed the sink drains for more elbow room and only had to bend this old body a minimum of contortions. It was actually easier than my stick house faucet that I replaced last year with one of these new high risers.

Ok, what's on for tomorrow?

Due to wind, wind, wind, in Central PA I had to tighten the straps on the cover. Wouldn't surprise me that by morning it's ripped off.

Hank, cold in Central PA

Hard wired my block heater.

Wow Doc, that sounds like a terrific idea. I hate having to go out side when it's cold and/or raining to plug in that heater cord. Having a switch inside would be even more perfect (wonder why the mfg didn't do this????). I'll have to investigate this mod and see how difficult it's gonna be.

thanks for the idea..

Kinda nuts isn't it.

Lot's of room left down south if you want to rejoin the flock ๐Ÿ™‚

Love to join ya! Especially since there's a freezing rain/snow forecast starting Wednesday evening. But I'm in a drug study (I'm a lab rat) and am required to get tested every 12 weeks. Now if the FDA would approve the drug (Yup, the drug really works), we'd be there in a flash....:B

Installed a really neat set up for my TPMS monitor. Went to Walmart and bought one of those $9 flexible desk lamps, removed the base and lamp so that I only had the flex part. It had 1/2" threaded ends and bolted one end to the dash board (on the side of the instrument panel next to the driver's window). Rummaged in my electrical parts storage bin in my garage and found a electrical box adapter used in hanging ceiling fans. It was the perfect length and shape to mount to the back of my TPMS monitor with double sided sticky tape (the type used to mount the FMCA plaque to the back of the motorhome - about 1/4" thick) and bolted it to the other end of the flex pipe. I then ran the electrical cord from the TPMS down through the flex pipe and then to a on-off switch that I also mounted on the dashboard.

Now I can pull the TPMS right up next to my line of sight and also within easy reach to push the buttons. Very cool.

I also rewired my entertainment compartment to allow me to bring my DISH DVR receiver with us and just plug it in using 3 cables and a power cord that will allow the use of the DVR in both the front TV and the rear TV.

Tomorrow, I'll tackle the replacement of the kitchen faucet with one of those high arching faucets.

Jon... the DBB porter is a little much for me... I prefer the Rogue Dead Guy Ale.

Thot about washing it today, but it's raining and blowing and 45 degrees..Not gonnna happen....Went up anyway and ran the front slide out and turned the heat up to 70 degrees, opened a bottle of Deschutes Black Butte Porter and started a Louis L'amour novel about Hopalong Cassidy..It's a lot more comfy than the usual reading room and since I left my cellphone in the house, she has to come up to yell at me...
