Washed and waxed. Well, paid a couple of muchachos to do it.
While waiting at a traffic light on Monday I heard some one calling: "Arturo!. . . Arturo. . ." (Which is what I am known by down here) Looking around I spotted a young man waving at me from a new Autolavado across the canal. I recognised him as one of the crew who washed and waxed the rig when we arrived here four months ago. I turned right and went in to see him and though I turned down a wash and wax for the car I arranged for him to come this morning to do the rig again. He wanted to come at 7:00AM to avoid the worst of the sun, but that was too early for us so we settled for 8:00. He and his friend arrived on his scooter at 8:50!!
Wash, paste wax and hand buffed, 2 men 5 hours, 1200 pesos, (100.00 dollars). Too much by local standards but things are hurting down here so I don't mind paying a bit more.
