Had no lights to the Jeep, checked at the socket at the rear of the MH, no +12V , no tail light voltage, nor signal, brake etc. Looked underneath, a 7 conductor cable had been completely severed. The cable had been routed below part of a frame member and had been cut completely through by something. Lots of road construction along the way, must have run over something.

Fortunately I had just enough crimp connectors to repair them and Freightliner and or Itasca bless their little hearts have the wiring numbers every 6 inches or so on every wire. Wasn't hard to figure out which piece went where. Now we're good to go tomorrow morning. Maz here we come (Northbound unfortunately!)

Installed the Alternator I rebuilt last fall. Need to replace the regulator harness , previous people have four splices on each wire and only one pair were done right. Hopefully will be able to pick it up tomorrow and install it later this week.

Yesterday I put new batteries in it. It only had 2 6 volts in it running everything so I added a 12 volt to start the engine. I also started a repair on the inside of a cabinet that I had to repair cause of some water damage. The beast started right up after a couple of cold months. Going back today for some more work with this warmth coming out.

Yesterday, I washed outside (4 hours) and vacuumed the inside (not time for more)). For outside, climbed on top, washed the brush extension, on my hands and knees. Extended the slideouts and washed the sides and hand dried. Opened the awning (20 footer!) and washed the underside and the top.

Checked the engined fluids, and sprayed off the dust in engine compartment. Cleaned the chrome wheel covers and black walled the tires. Checked the tire pressure.

Ran out of time for more prep.

Good to go for trip next weekend.....

Getting ready to leave for our first trip of the year. Installed new side marker lights, tightened loose screws, checked all fluids and air pressure, loaded up groceries, supplies, etc, and leaving at 8am in the morning. Ready for R&R and catching up with my fellow rv'ers at campsites and swapping stories. Everyone have a safe and enjoyable RVing year. Jim

I put new plugs, wires and distributor cap on mine. Also threw in a new air filter. Bought Batteries for it and have to reconfigure it since the previous owner did some rigging in the battery area.

I feel bad because the first four plugs were an absolute pain to change. I should apologize to my MH for all the bad things I called it. It took me entirely too long but it should purr nicely once I get the new batteries in it.

Finished blowing off the 30+" of snow that we got Wednesday through Sunday from in front of the MH garage doors. Boy, winter sure descended upon us with vigor.

Day late and dollar short on posting, but dropped the Vista off at the shop Saturday morning to have the Winegard manual align satellite replaced with the automatic dome version. Got to admit that I had just gotten spoiled when I had one on the Tiffin and just did not want to mess withe the manual one.
