I've installed a ScanGauge also but have very little time to use it. I need to print out the full manual because I can't find the transmission temp on it so far. All of the gauges on it agree almost exactly with the dash gauges.
The two intersting things I've found so are the overall fuel consumption and the gauge itself. I'm driving a Fleetwood 39S Excursion with a C7 - the gauge is showing that my overall MPG on about 700 miles is something over 18 MPG. If it was half of that I'd be happy. The other thing is that now that it's getting dark in Alaska, I went out to the MH the other night, both battery banks were turned off, but there was the ScanGauge glowing in the dark. Obviously the switches on the control panel dont' control everything. When I store it in a couple of weeks for the winter, I was planning to disconnect the batteries anyways.
