This is always a fun thread to watch in other forums, so I thought I'd start one here.

We just about gutted and rebuilt our C (with no slide-outs) so we could be more comfortable, since we are now full-timers. In the LR we took out the sofa/sleeper, fold-out table and 2 dining size swivel chairs and the carpet. We put in a wood floor and 2 recliners, along with our computer desks. We replaced the small sink faucet with a taller one so we can get our sauce pots under. We redid the shower walls in the bathroom and installed a china bowl. We also took one of the really small closets out of the bedroom and extended the base for the bed so that we now have room for a kingsize bed (2twins). My wonderful husband put a new roof on our rv, washed and waxed it and then we set out on our new adventure.

Weighed her and she came in 400 pounds under on the rear and 700 pounds under on front. I am running higher rated tires and at 15 psi over the factory recommendations. Feels good not to be overloaded :B.

I finally finished caulking all the vertical spaces on the rig with proflex clear. Time consuming but peace of mind now. I installed the swagman bumper adapter for the bike rack. It works good. The only negative is it is in the way if I want to unhook the toad and swing the tow bar up and over. If I ever get in a situation where I need to unhook the toad, I'll have to remove the bike rack first!

Past week: Had new carpet installed in cab, living room and bedroom. Looks great! Installed room darkening shades on the interior side of the white pleated shades in bedroom. (My own version of day/night shades. LOL) Moved the vent in the battery compartment to make room for a 2nd battery. Installed door opener bar to inside of door, and clear plexi slide and stationary piece in preparation for plexi screen door covers. (To be installed next week.) Also hung organizer baskets on the inside of the closet door to store small items. Hung some art on the living room walls. It is really starting to look like home. ;- )

Had to pull out the kitchen sink to get to the faucet. Replaced a badly leaking cheap faucet with a new chrome pull our spray faucet. Looks nice and it wasn't as hard as I thought so I had time to wash the exterior of the RV. The next dat I climbed up on the roof and removed three vent covers to clean them out and the vents they covered. Wow, were they dirty! It really made a nice difference on the inside with clean vent fans and screens.

Put a rubber washer on the bolt that holds the new kitchen faucet on so it will stay tight

Replaced the House door's insulation. The old insulation was dirty and not washable and actually not doing the job.

Took it to have the wheel bearings repacked

Getting it ready to head out for 5 months.

Today we removed the very LARGE TV from our class C Jayco and built in shelves. We will use a smaller flat screen TV that weighs SO much less and just set it up when we stop. What a huge waste of space that TV was.

Well not something I did to my class-c but to my boat & trailer(which is being pulled by calss-c) getting it ready for Memorial Day weekend. Worked on this weekend and still had time to coach my 2 soccer teams and go to 2 bbq's sat & sun.

I have replaced both electric backing places, bearings, races & seals & repacked the other set. Found out that my trailer plug adapter that I bought was wired incorrectly for my setup. It had the 12v aux on the side where my brakes are wired to. Just had to take apart adapter and move the blue and black wires around.

Fixed trolling plate, rear engine lid, hangers for wire bundle, rear bench seat and vaccumed the boat.

Hope to finish the RV and load it up this weekend.

Happy Camping and safe driving, Robert.

It was the 15A breaker in the panel. I have three outlets on the GFCI circuit, the bathroom, the mess, and the exterior outlet. Coffee gets brewed on the kitchen counter, and we use the griddle outside.

Just curious, was the 15a breaker in the distribution panel tripping or the GFCI?

Installed a 20 amp breaker for the GFCI circuit. Got tired of the 15 amp breaker always tripping when brewing coffee in the mess, while breakfast is being cooked on the griddle outside. The rig is wired throughout with 12 gauge wire to the 110 outlets.
