This is always a fun thread to watch in other forums, so I thought I'd start one here.

Yanked out the old TV's and took them to the recycler. Took some measurements so I can fabricate a panel to cover the big hole in front which will serve as a base to mount a flat screen on it. Don't know what I will do for a replacement for the 13" TV which sat inside a corner cabinet in the bedroom. Would like to keep the cabinet but I can't find a new TV small enough to fit inside it.
Oh well, keep on looking I guess.

I SCORED a perfect working condition Coleman Mach 6000 series A/C unit with heat pump from a local guy that buys auction/accident vehicles.
My unit came from a Fleetwood class A MH.(This MH had an engine fire that took out the entire rear end of the MH)

Fifty Bux!!!!!:W

*I pulled the unit and some other goodies from the Fleetwood and brought it home to clean it up, give it a test before installing. Worked great.

**This evening, I mounted it up and completed the install. Man, I am soooo happy. Now I just need to get the exact model number of this darned thing so I can order a new interior plastic trim and knobs for it. (The model number is barely visible and all I can make out is model# 6799) Looking online I can see that my unit "looks" just like 6799-806...I just don't know what to do to be sure. I have no idea what BTU this unit is, but I assume it is a 13,500 because of what I have seen it do for me so far and what I have seen of the performance to other name brand 13,500 btu units.
Yee-Haw!!

Got the transmission oil and filter changed last week. Rig only has 24000 miles but is 11 years old. I found nothing intresting.

Picked up two used Group 24 Gel batterys from a friend that sells and repairs electric wheel chairs. Got two near new ones free. I then wired my rig for the two batterys instead of the one.

My wife made up a new velcro up curtian to cover the driving area. We have an out side cover, inside cover to reflect the sun but use the inside velcro up curtian for quick changes ect. We made this one go around the seats to the out side so we can put our clothes on the seat when we change.

Started packing for our trip to Oregon John Day country next week. For the first time from when we got the rig last fall we feel its really ready to go.

Yesterday I...
-Prepped and painted the rear poop tube bumper.
-Repaired,prepped and painted my ladder and roof cargo rack.
-Gave the 12"x12" pressure treated feet for my leveling jacks a good shot of undercoating.
-Lastly, I wired in a new 4 pin trailer harness.

*All I have left to do is to be very much finished with my restoration:
-Buy the parts needed to splice into the high pressure side of my propane system for the aux. feed for our small outdoor cooking accessories.(small portable grill and small two burner cook top)
-Build a securing system for the (6) 6 volt GC batteries I have located in the rear storage.
-Make curtains for the windows in the MH
-Get inspection(and have them check the air in the inner rear tires)

Today I changed the engine oil in the old 360.
It sounds the same as it did before(really good) and has just a tad more oil pressure when warmed up.
(Still likes to puff a little blue smoke though, so I'll end up having to eventually do the valve seals)
*I also got the bug to tear apart everything in the rear of the MH again to look for the 12v+ reverse lights wire. I found it stuffed up and under the bathroom unit!!!
-I then mounted a pair of older dodge neon clear front bumper lights and wired them to now be my custom reverse lights.

Today was an expensive day. I replaced all 6 tires and had them replace the stock shocks with a set of Bilstein shocks. Replaced a burned out tail light and had an oil change. Should be already for our trip on Thursday.

-I sprayed everything with HVLP paint guns
-I used Omni AE(acrylic enamel single stage) paint for the champagne color. 4 good coats and and this is the pictured result.

-I used nothing special rattle can gloss black(a buck a can) for everything black.(it works fine, as everything located in delicate areas recieved a heavy shot of clearcoat over it)
*Any raw aluminium was primed first.
-The red was an automotive base coat urethane I had left over from a custom job I did on a car many years ago.
-The lower 4 ft of the motor home, the entire front, and entire rear were clear coated with automotive urethane clear coat.

I am very surprised how well it came out considering this took many stages to do and was painted outside on our hot windy hill top.

All my seams for the siding, trims and windows were sealed really well using urethane windshield adhesive, then primed before painting.
-The stuff is flexible, but doesn't shrink and grips and seals very, very well. It comes in caulk tubes and can be used for many things. It is best known for the installation/gluing in of modern windshields to vehicles these days.

**I mixed a medium sized champagne flake with the Omni AE paint and added it to my clear coat as well. It is hard to get it to show in the pictures, because of the distance the pix are taken at.....But this MotorHome GLITTERS with sparkles in the sunlight.
