What kind of fire pit?

With the 5th wheel it was easy to carry a fire pit but the motor home will make it a little harder. I do have outside basement storage but what does everyone else use for a fire pit that is easy to travel in the class A?
  • Pit-2-Go. It folds flat in two carry bags and doubles as a BBQ. I still use mine at the house for doing burgers and steaks for the 2 of us. It is/was the only fire pit approved by the USFS for use in areas where ground fires are not permitted.
  • When I had my old Class A we towed a trailer with the toys on it so there was plenty of room for the fire pit, which was an old wash tub.

We found that they were the perfect fire pit. They contained the fire in windy weather, were up high, and gave out heat all the way around.

When I down sized to a Class C I found that it was to big even with the large storage area that mine has. So I down sized it too.

The legs pop off and it stows nicely in the rear.It is only 15 in. tall and 13 in. wide, a Weber Smokey Joe grill fits perfectly in it.

    Works for me.......

I carry something like this. It disassembles down pretty good for travel. Mine is stowed up-side-down which allows me to stack other things inside it.

Always got to have a little fire going at our campsite

  • I have three:
    -Campfire in a Can: LP
    -Campfire in a Can: Wood
    -Coleman Folding Ground Pit

The Campfire in a Cans store nicely and are completely covered. No dirt or ash
    The Coleman folds flat
