NADA value is a good place to start and if you have a good reference library near you, you can find the NADA Wholesale guide which is what the dealers use to value a trade-in. The Wholesale price is about 10% less than low retail on NADA online values. Also look at PPL Motorhomes website for actual selling price for recent sales: PPL Diesel Prices
Also a general search on RV Trader for a specific year and model will give you an idea of prices across the country.

Go to the RV section and on the left side of the page you will see a box to check that says "completed auctions". Check it and the ones with the GREEN price actually sold and the ones with the BLACK price did not.

Here is one example. Sold RV
This unit actually sold for $97,100 with 66 bids. NADA lists the LOW RETAIL at about $130,000. Apparently there were no actual buyers that thought the coach was worth as much as NADA.

A valid price for anything is one that a willing seller and a willing buyer agree on and make the transaction. The PPL lists fit that model. The buying guides (NADA, Kelley, etc) use a formula to establish a value. I don't know what the formula is but they are not based on recent sales.

I'm about to trade in my gas rig. My experience so far has been take low NADA and subtract about a third. I see similar units on the lot for about NADA. Gives the dealer 1/3 profit margin but they must assume the detailing and find qualified buyers.

Check what same model is going for in your area.
Check Craigslist, RVT, RV Trader and a quick goggle search of your year/model.

Then you will have a bases for pricing yours.

NADA, KBB, a couple of others, but the true and proven is market research; an unbiased inspection of the DP your selling or buying.
Typically it's what the market can bare. There's a huge mark up on all RVs, and the DPs are no exception.
After spending a lot of time doing your market research and seeing what similar units are selling for; you'll have an excellent idea what you can get/offer. The banks and loan companies go by NADA or Kelly Blue Book, making the consumer make up the difference to make market value

NADA has been the only source I have found. It is a guide anyhow.
