Everything bad discussed here about flying commercial, could be completely avoided by traveling in almost any kind of RV. It doesn't necessarily have to be a motorized RV. A TT, 5th wheel, or even a truck camper could accomplish the same thing (and would be much more cost effective in some cases).
willald, I believe that the only reason the term motorhome was used here is because the OP has a MH, and posted the thread here in the CLASS A MOTORHOMES section. As you suggested, the subject could apply to any sort of recreational vehicle - even a conversion van for that matter. The point being, would you rather fly or use your RV to get to your destination?
