Winnebago 7 pin plug is there a charging line

I have my 2011 Winnebago coach in storage and got a new toad and had Camping World install the base plate and they wired it with a charging line for the toad to have the coach charging system to keep the toad,s battery charged. My question on the plug from the factory is the seven pin all ready have a charge line hooked up or am I going to have to add a line to charged the toad.
  • My 2014 Forza does have the charge line in place. However it is controlled by a relay and is only hot when the motor is running. Just make sure your Winnie and your toad have the charge line on the same pin on the connector.

    Good Luck!

Yes, I should have said in my post pin #4 if wired correctly.:B
  • My 2008 Sightseer 29R on the F53 chassis didn't have a charging line on the 7 pin connector. Not only that, but the pin that one would normally use for it didn't even have a lug in it, it had a plastic dummy lug in its place. I didn't have any luck finding another 7 pin socket that was fully populated with all of the pins in it that would fit in the existing hole in the bumper so I used another unused pin to run a charging wire from the chassis battery to the towed with circuit breakers on each end. Perhaps they changed that on your newer model.I didn't have any luck finding the 7 pin connector on the Winnebago wiring diagram for for the 2011 Sightseer 35J. Good luck.

  • On both of my Winnies, the 7 pin connector was not found on their wiring diagrams. The plug is provided by the chassis manufacturer so it can be found on the chassis diagrams, if you can find them.
