Winnebago Journey 34B

Nope not sorry at all. Had some fun with it and great travels but it started to feel small. Smallish A's have been fun. I like the one we have but sometimes feel I should look around for something bigger because as we age we seem to stay put more and size does matter.

Check out the floorplan on this 2014 Newmar Ventana 3434 DP. Has opposing slides in lounge and "campside" dining booth and bedroom. The drawer under the sink could probably handle a small apartment size auto dishwasher. TV is also in a good spot to watch from the cockpit seats, couch, booth and kitchen.

This one on my wish list to replace my BT Cruiser 5291. Don't think I would want another RV that didn't have opposing slides up front. Are you ever sorry you traded your BT?

A good friend of ours has a 2003 34', not sure of the model signification. They purchased it new in 2004 and love it. It has the 330 hp CAT (C7). They looked at the 32' which had the 300 hp Cummins ISB but he said it porpoised a bit on the highway. He absolutely did not want anything larger than 32' but I convinced him to go two feet larger and get the C7 engine. He is glad they did, they love it. It has made a couple of trips to Alaska in the last decade.

He sure bonked that sale. Even the dealers here in CA will give you a price over the phone or in an email.

Well I think it is going to be awhile before I trade. Thank you for the personal testimonials. I think it is a coach we would like. I sent an inquiry to dealer that was advertising prices to low to mention on line. I asked for a ballpark idea of what I could expect given my trade. He sent me back general information on the value of my coach which I already knew-NADA etc. He then stated the MSRP that was on line and crossed out. Told me he was eager to meet to discuss. Well it will be a cold day in hell before I meet with someone who thinks I am that stupid. You advertise too low to mention and then start the bargaining from the original number is just plain insulting. So this customer who was ready to make a move had the sales person made a beginning offer that would keep my attention has decided to avoid the hassle and have my coach washed and waxed and maybe even get some new fixtures. Bad move internet manager at Camping World Kissimee. This customer with cash in hand is gone. P.S the same coach in a 2013 brand new is 90,000 grand less up the road as the advertised price.

Bob, IMHO there very good coaches! I own a 35-U and the DW told me yesterday she wants a coach with more room?

We bought a 2013 34b about a year ago (down sized from a 2008 Meridian 39 z). It is very comfortable/easy to drive and has good power to tow our van (2004 honda odyssey). I like the pass through storage and it has good storage inside. The floor plan fits our needs and if I had to make the choice again I would do it.

The specs on the Journey 34B are 35 ft 7 in long with a 208 inch wheelbase.
The specs on the Adventurer 35P are 35 ft 9 in long with a 228 inch wheelbase.

While steer angle does impact the turn radius - in most cases a 20 inch longer wheelbase will require a larger turn area.

The new 34B was previously the Journey Express 34Y. It technically is two slides as the driver's side slide is a full wall. I too am limited by size. Not for shed storage but a sharp winding road down to my cottage where we like to park the moho and use as overflow or a hideout whatever conditions require. From what I understand the 34 will turn more sharply in the diesel than the same length in gas do to the location of front wheels.

Hey Ski, you have it. We love the floor plan and generally like the coach. But have thought a bit more room would be nice but still would like to fit in the less than 35ft range. If I am going to trade again this time should be a diesel pusher and get the benefits of heavier coach. I also realize that the hookups are easier as the expense of the coach increases. With age that is a nice feature. I have been having problems with leaks in my bags. Just valves so far but pita. My rears lost inflation just as leaving for Florida. It still drove ok but not quite as smooth. Will try to fix while here. If I don't find a deal and trade then a trip to Iowa to have the system tweaked is in order. Not sure the installer not familiar with this is the best although they were game and gave it their best.
