Should be closing the deal on a used Winnebago 2012 Vista. Has very low miles, under 8k. My only other rv has been a 23 ft Jayco travel trailer which we just sold a few weeks ago. Pretty excited. Will have to fly to Arizona to close the deal and drive it home. We always came back to the same floor plan on new Winnebagos. We haven't found a floor plan we like in any other brand like this one. And to find a private party used one. What luck. We wanted to stay around 30 ft. I will be parking next to my house. This one has been under a carport since new. It still has a year left on the warranty. What a pain getting the DMV docs together to Bring back to California.

Any tips for me is much appreciated.

The seller became very evasive when pressed on some technical issues. Everything was set. Loan approved, all documents faxed and in hand. I was ready to buy my plane ticket. Then he got kinda nasty on the phone and hung up on me! Wow. I guess I lucked out and saved a trip. There was something sour in Denmark with this pending deal.

Back to looking for my dream rig.

That's what I wanted! Thanks you guys. Spent the day on the phone and Internet getting DMV documents and loan documents faxed and signed. Thank you all again.

I assume you have the 30T with the buffet table and Tv behind it on the wall. I had one. For 30 ft it is everything you can expect. I put a Kelderman air ride on to improve ride. It will ride better when it is loaded. You are going to love it. Good luck.

After going over inside and outside physical looks at everything, start the generator( if equipped) and check all electrical plugs, switches, lights, a/c, and furnace ( propane on) , stove and oven. TV, DVDs, etc. , Refrigerator operation on both gas and a/c.
Run down levelers( if equipped) and then open slide(s), check them outside , and close up.
Go up on roof, look at all caulked seams, add water to tank, turn on Hot water tank, run all faucets, toilets, and check shower and drains. Walking around floor, look for irregular staining or soft subfloor ing especially near toilet and shower area.
Shut down generator and plug into shore power( even if only 15 amp) and see how basic things work with regular current.( No A/C on low amperage). Lastly, I would pull the caps on the coach battery (s) check water level, and touch with a multimeter to see charged voltage.
If this all seems to obvious , I apologize, but I hope that you will have many years of trouble free fun and safe travels, from your friends out East!

ALL of this is great! Also check the main truck engine, battery, and transmission. Get a check list of what to look for online. You are basically buying a vehicle AND a self contained house at the same time. Basically test and look at everything.
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.
