winterization of MH

I have always done the red pop in my fiver. With the new MH we now have a washing machine and fridge with ice maker.Now the manual says to put the red pop into the drum, I think it said on the spin cycle. What about the water lines to the washer (hot and cold). I would think those need to be ran until the red pop comes out too. I can't each the back to get at the lines. Maybe there is a access panel in the closet I'll have to look.

Now the fridge ice maker, we don't use it but I'm sure there is water probably still in the line. Is there a easy way to get red pop through that line, or is there a easy way to drain that?

I'd like to do it myself rather than pay the dealer.

On our MH I had to leave the hotwater bypass open for a while in order to get the antifreeze to flow through the incomming water line to the washer. There should be a small instection panel below the washer that you can take off to see if the water lines to the washer turn red. And there are both cold and hot water lines to the washer.

Congrats on the new MOHO. If you have the Splendide W/D they also provide directions to winterize it using the normal fill lines. This is the preferred method, because as you identified, it flows the antifreeze through the hoses and solenoid valves/tubing within the machine.

Regarding the icemaker, if you have the typical RV frig with the solenoid located in the access panel, I have found the easiest method is to remove the plastic tubing from solenoid to the freezer and let it gravity drain. Then you can either remove the supply line to the solenoid until the pink stuff flows out or in my case, I made a cheater cord with the same push on connectors so I simply connect the cord to the solenoid and plug it in until the antifreeze comes out. The little water in the icemaker tray will not hurt anything and will most likely evaporate. Good luck.

I'm not sure on your exact setup but can you use the water pump to fill the ice maker line. I usually winterized by taking a short hose and attaching it to the entry side of the pump and then put the hose into a gallon of antifreeze. I then have my wife open and close each faucet until the antifreeze appears. The ice maker would be the same way. We don't use our ice maker, so I have it turned off at its source. I also have the washer dryer turned off at the source. If we use it, then I still use the same method to winterize it.
