  • Unsurpassed character and the real example for youngsters to emulate.
To whom did he tell you that, Yogiism.
  • Yea, heard this on the television this morning. Sad. Another American icon, a legend, who is now only a memory. Just goes to show you, for all of us, our days are numbered. We need to make the absolute most of each moment we have while we have it! The older I'm getting, the more "greats" from my childhood keep dropping away! Sorry, there just aren't very many musicians, entertainers, or sports celebrities that can hold hold a feather compared to some of these old timers. Yogi was a great guy!
  • Having been a Yankee fan for over 60 years this one hurt. I have been in mourning all day. Yogi was the last great one in my book.

  • I love the stories Mickey Mantle used to tell about Yogi. Especially, when a Yankee Rookie pitcher who was a NCAA champion swimmer challenged Yogi for $$$ that he could beat him swimming across the pool. That rookie thought he was going to smoke a pudgy Yogi Berra! Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford had one of those pool poles and told Yogi to hold on! Across that pool Yogi went in record time for the win! Old Guy's do rule and RIP Mr. Larry "Yogi" Berra
