I intially was planning to take Hwy 140 from Lakeview through Denio NV to get to Frenchglen. I hoped to dry camp on blm land somewhere before Denio. I believe there is an rv park in Denio.
With the high temperatures that are being predicted, my wife is thinking it would be better to take Hwy 395 to Burns. We would stop at an rv park with power so we could run our air conditioner rather than dry camp.
Has anyone had experience with both routes? Is there any reason to choose one route over another, or are they pretty much the same when it comes to scenic value?
I have never been east of Lakeview, so either route will be new to me.
