Closed Topics?
In looking through the archives, I noticed that the threads get closed and can not be brought back to life. Anyone know the reason for this?

Not that many people search the archives. And then typically for only very specific threads/posts. And to add a new post to an archived thread would be seen by almost no one. If you want to resurrect an old subject and add new material it is best to start a new thread on the same subject so it goes back to the head of the line for new discussions.
