Coleman Road trip grill and RV propane question

Thanks guys. I already bought a propane hose. So for my upcoming trip, I'll just use the cylinders. Lesson learned. Never trust a salesperson when they say "this is all you'll need".

I could have probably bought the parts from my local hardware store but I always seem to either forget something or get the wrong parts.

If anyone is interested in the wrong size fittings I am willing to part with them for a small fee .... :W

I have the same grill and use the RV hookup with not problems. As said just get rid of the regulator on the grill. You can order kits for this purpose.

There's a reason for that, my friend: you have two regulators in the line. Your hookup is a low pressure line, and does not need the regulator that is on the grill. Lose that one, and life will be good.

If you do a search here, there are numerous posts about how to do this. Note that some grills use the regulator to control the flame height. That type grill cannot be used this way. But as long as the flame regulation is done by a separate valve, and you can remove the regulator, you should be able to do this. It just requires some plumbing pieces.
