  • Nice, we have a wood fired oven in the back yard of our brick and mortar and use it for happy hour almost every Fri night that we're there. I'm the cook, my wife is dough maker and you, the guest, are the chef to make it.

We did the most in one night so far, 19 this past Fri night. And I didn't burn one. I'm an old pit master originally from NC, low and slow for 40 years. Now, you put me on the 1000* oven and expect me to cook pizza and not burn it at all? You're crazy, but I'm getting the hang of it. It takes 2 minutes to cook a pizza, one minute on each side next to the fire. Man, that's hard to get use to...hahaha
  • I want you to know I only watched your video to see how your pizza came out of camper oven. Then I saw you were making a gluten free crust and thought wow, hopefully it will be good. I was almost rolling on the floor when I heard you only picked up the gluten free pizza mix cause it was what store had available for a pizza crust mix. Luckily you put tons of great toppings on your pizza. I have been medically forced to eat gluten free for close to four years-I have yet to find a decent tasting pizza crust. I agree with your cat, I would probably have turned up my nose at that gluten free crust. Thanks for a fun video.
  • The Deception Pass Cafe used to made a mean pizza occasionally. It is now where you sign up for the boat tours. There was also a restaurant where the Ranger H.Q. is and that was in front of the Sunrise RV Park. Love the area and your pizza looks fantastic.

Saturday morning there was a Number 12 Seahawk fan run or something across the bridge. Later that afternoon, two sightseers cars crossed the center line for a bad head on collision. We counted at least 4 perhaps 5 emergency vehicles. Traffic was backed up for a couple miles till the wreckage was cleared. The mess diverted us to the beach for a couple hours and a nice sunset. Post that video later.

We don't need a high speed highway off this island, said no one ever.

We are 8 miles from Stanwood, 10 to I-5, yet it requires an hour to get there and two to get back in rush hour traffic.
Mary Margaret Haugen refused to put it to the WA, DOT to do the home work to get a good highway across the two Islands, and we fired her for it. But she did spend 25 million bucks on the existing HWY 20 that took 2 minutes off the trip.

    To go slightly off topic.
Everywhere in Washington the DOT is failing to do what is needed with roads favoring instead mass transit systems. Here in Seattle they have a nasty habit of reducing roads from 2 lanes each way to one lane and a bike lane each way called a road diet. Dumbest intentional waste of taxpayer dollars ever.

Now to try to restore the topic in an aberrated way.
    That's why I made a square pizza!
To symbolize how the Washington State wants to reinvent the wheel.
    Yeah, that's the ticket.

Have you tried swimming off the island?

    Take care.

  • Niceeeeee looking pizza yet it seems that Charlie has been hanging out with Henri le Chat Noir. Just think of it as his loss;).
