German Apple Pancakes in 9" round pans

I decided to give these a try as it makes 2 - 9" round cake pans of HEAVENLY G-Apple Pancakes. It served 8 easily with every little effort! The only thing I added was about 1/2 t. Orlando Mexican vanilla to the batter. Served with thin apple slices, some F.F. canned whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon. I also had scrambled eggs, and bacon to go with it! Hot coffee a given!

    Made this for breakfast this morning. My tweak was to sprinkle the sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon and then microwaving them for a minute or 2 before putting in the buttered round pans. The end product was very good and reminded me a lot of french toast.

    What was the cooked consistancy of the apples? I like my cooked apples to be cooked, soft not crunchy. When I saw the cook time the alarm went off in my head. Please let me know if I might need to pre-cook the apples a bit.

    I served them with a few VERY THIN slices of fresh apple, a little maple syrup, a spritz of canned whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. They are pastry light.. not major rib-stickers but very good for such low effort.

    I only had "Craftsy" AND H&R Block ads showing on mine (I just rechecked). I had been looking up craft tutorials on Craftsy the last few days.... don't know what you folks have been looking up *giggling* :W
