- Well, without ever asking what to buy, I bought a Weber Q 1000 and would have to agree with every one here. I have Grilled many different things on it and have actually been able to make a little multi-layered foil cup and put damp smoking chips in it for a smokey taste with my chicken. The three temp settings seem to be right on too.

- is_it_friday_yeExplorerWe just purchased one of these. I'll be using it with my 20 lb propane tank. I also got the carry bag and a cover, all for about $150. I have cast iron pots/pans and a griddle to use on it.
- scbwrExplorer IIAnother happy Weber user here! Buy a griddle that you can use on top of the Weber or your stove. With our outdoor kitchen, I set up the Weber next to the outdoor stove, and we do most of our cooking outside other than when it is cold or wet!
- petrelExplorerWe use a Solaire Anywhere grill when we don't feel like dealing with charcoal. It doesn't come with a griddle, but can easily cook with a fry pan on top of it. Also, as mentioned above, an electric griddle is a very versatile and easy to clean alternative.
- tragusa3ExplorerWe've done the charcoal grills, the electric griddle, pan on the outdoor burners, etc.
Picked up a Weber Q last year and it is "DA BOMB"! Look forward to cooking now. Just ordered the fold-able rolling cart that should come in tomorrow!
I have used Weber grills of several types for 30 years now. I can tell you one thing about going Weber Q, you will not ever buy another grill. If you are willing to replace burners, starters, etc. about every decade, it will last a lifetime. I've got a Genesis Grill that is on year 20 and it ain't going anywhere. It needed new burners at about the 12 year mark, and Weber sent a set at NO CHARGE! Love the company and will take any chance to support them. - Gonzo42ExplorerOn top of the grate we have a flat aluminum grill-plate from Wally World.
- Mandalay_ParrExplorerI've used the Weber Baby Q for 11 years and just love it.
