Sandwich for Breakfast?

Anyone else like sandwiches for breakfast? This morning I am having one filled with tri-tip, tomato, cheese, onion, and lettuce on a sour dough steak roll. I discovered a recipe for honey mustard and will use that instead of mayo.

Also like cold spaghetti or Chinese left-overs as breakfast foods! We never had cold foods when I was a kid, but as an adult I love them.

If you haven't had ham and slices of Havarti cheese on a croissant, your taste buds will thank you to try it! Best with several very thin slices of Krakus Polish Ham or similar, vs. the southern or spiral ham. There's just something about the taste combination. It's fine at room temp and slightly warmed as well.

Put a slice of lasagna between 2 pieces of Garlic Cheese Bread; put on plate and covered with Tupperware Spatter Guard (don't remember the correct name) and heated in micro for 1 minute - pure heaven!

Best is a Peanut Butter sandwich and a bowl of homemade day old chili.

We do a BLT with a hard fried egg and my husband tops it off with Tabasco® Sauce.

Most of my breakfasts while camping are cooked on the boat so I'm a little limited but still make some good stuff. Bagels or croissants make good bread for the sandwich. Some smoky ham, cheddar cheese as the filling and wrapped in foil in the grill until it all hot and gooey. Another good one is a bagel with lots of cream cheese and a 1/2 dozen mini smoky link sausages as the meat with a slice of fresh tomato.

Another breakfast for us was leftover rolls or biscuits from supper the previous night. Warmed up, those biscuits and rolls became the vehicle for cheese, bacon, leftover meats, leftover veg; what ever we could scrounge. My brother once combined liverwurst, a slab of onion, and grape jelly on a biscuit. He liked it so much he eats it for breakfast to this day.

As it's been said: any leftovers that are good cold will do for breakfast. Cold pork and beans are what we grew up on for breakfast during the week. Much healthier than the cereals of the day.

On "The Chew" today they showed a Cheese Pizza, cooked, then a raw egg and prochito (sp?), pop back in for about 20-30 seconds, cut and serve .. looked good to me ... !

So Sandwiches doesn't sound non-normal after that Breakfast Cheese Pizza ...
